Using advanced drone technology, we can precisely apply aquatic herbicides in liquid or granular form directly to targeted areas. Depending on the treatment plan, we may use systemic herbicides, which absorb into the plant and kill the root system, or contact herbicides, which quickly target existing weed growth.

Aquatic treatments are most effective when applied in late spring to early summer while weeds are actively growing and water temperatures are above 50°F. Drone applications allow for accurate coverage without disturbing muddy lake bottoms the way mechanical removal methods such as dredging or raking can.

We follow all Minnesota DNR aquatic plant regulations and safety protocols, including required Aquatic Plant Management (APM) permitting when applicable. Our goal is to help restore healthier, more enjoyable waterfront environments while protecting surrounding ecosystems.
